If you're feeling off or a little down in retirement, consider doing something nice for someone. It's been scientifically shown that when we help someone, we get a little bit of a, I don't know if it's a dopamine hit or what, but we feel a little better. And I know that's been my experience. When I'm having like a bad day or I'm anxious, if I do something nice for someone, I feel a little better. And it's a good idea if we have a list of the people that we may be able to help or organizations or whatever, and a list of the things that we can do for them. So I have like the local no-kill shelter. I have their PayPal address. So if I want to just do a quick donation, I can do a quick donation. They also always need like treats and supplies and things like that. I could just run something down to them. That's on my list of opportunities to do helpful things. So while you're still feeling good, it's a good time to do something nice for someone. It's a good idea to have a list of the places that you might help or the people that you might help and the things that you may do to help them. It's like another arrow in your quiver to help combat sadness. Enjoy your retirement.
